With a rapidly growing career in the Canadian music industry, emerging singer-songwriter, Faouzia, was in need of a press campaign to connect her groundbreaking milestones to a mass audience.

THE SOLUTION


Upon receipt of two major international awards, Canada’s Walk of Fame Emerging Artist 2016 and International Songwriting Competition 2017, Jane wrote and distributed press releases and pitches on Faouzia’s exceptional milestones to local and national media outlets. She communicated with media outlets on a regular basis providing content, imagery, video and updates on Faouzia’s creative work and career milestones. Jane also connected Faouzia’s cult-classic YouTube covers, and singles ‘Knock on My Door’, ‘My Heart’s Grave’ and ‘This Mountain’ to media outlets throughout North America.

THE IMPACT


As a direct result from these efforts, Faouzia obtained more than 9 million additional impressions over a 12-month campaign with her participation in more than 30 radio, print, television, and live social media interviews. Jane connected Faouzia’s first singles to commercial radio pitching her music for regular rotation on Virgin 103.1, KISS 102.3 and CBC Radio.

In October 2016, this campaign resulted in Faouzia’s first certified viral content piece with her orginally-performed-by-The Weeknd, ‘Starboy’ cover. As Jane continued to send her cover to more than 40 international media outlets, the song was picked up by select global outlets creating a spike in visibility for Faouzia’s brand + music. The video garnered more than one million views in 24 hours dramatically impacting her socials and adding more than 10k new fans to her Facebook following within the one-day period.

Jane next tied the release of her second single ‘My Heart’s Grave’ to the announcement of her signing to Paradigm Talent Agency, an industry leader who has shaped careers of global artists like Coldplay, Ed Sheeran and Sia. Jane pitched this story to The Globe & Mail and secured an exclusive feature which landed on newsstands and digital feeds across the country. She also coordinated the distribution of this single to commercial Canadian radio stations including a Virgin Radio exclusive debut with celebrated Canadian broadcaster, Ace Burpee. As Faouzia’s star continues to rise, she currently has more than 1.8 million followers on Instagram, 330,000 followers on Facebook and 650,000 subscribers on Youtube.
